Respite Care
… supporting you in your caring role …
St Andrews recognises that caring for a loved one is an important and rewarding experience. Carers are often required to assist with daily living tasks seven days a week and at times may need extra help and support.
Respite is a break from, and a support to, carers by offering a range of in-home and out-of-home options which enable the carer an opportunity for free time to engage in other interests and to recuperate.
At the same time, respite offers the opportunity for the loved one to enjoy the company of others, enjoy a different environment and participate in diverse experiences. Both clients benefit – the carer and the person being cared for.
St Andrews offers respite for low care, high care and dementia needs – for a few hours, a day, overnight, weekends, or a few weeks.
