TeleCare & TeleHealth Services

... utilising technology to keep people safe and secure ...

The development of assistive technology provides the latest innovations to enable people to feel safe and secure in their own homes 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

St Andrews TeleCare

St Andrews Telecare monitoring devices available include emergency pendants where, with the press of a button, help can be on the way. Door, bed and chair sensors alert the response centre should no activity be recorded within an expected timeframe. Emergency environmental situations in the home, for instance a flood of water or the stove left on, can be responded to, reminder calls can be arranged to assist with medication or other individual needs.

Telecare systems allow people and their carers, whether aged, living alone, suffering dementia, or living with a disability, to feel independent, but know that they are not alone should any emergency arise.

St Andrews Telehealth

St Andrews is in the process of developing our Telehealth Pilot Program.  Telehealth is a significant advance in assistive technology which allows a person to monitor their health status without leaving home – a valuable option, especially for those who find it difficult to visit their doctor’s rooms for routine health checks.

It is now possible to have weight, blood pressure, blood glucose and peak flow levels measured and recorded to maintain maximum health and wellbeing.  Video conferencing via Skype also allows your doctor or nurse to actually view physical symptoms to aid with diagnosis and treatment.

Further information will be made available as our pilot program progresses.
