Pip Carter recently attended the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA) Conference in Washington DC, where he gave a presentation on Respite for Indigenous Cultures - speaking on the establishment and operation of our Aboriginal Respite Service in Ballina.
In conjunction with the conference, Pip also travelled with a group in a SAGE tour and was able to visit aged care facilities in Philadelphia. He brought home information on aged care programs and initiatives that are being introduced throughout the world.
One of the highlights of his trip was a visit to an Amish community in Pennsylvania to see first-hand the activities of the people who live and work together there.
